A Brief History of the Ski Hill

Boler Mountain began operation in 1946 as a single run and expanded over the years until the current chalet was built in 1972.  Throughout the 1970 and 80s, the mountain was served by three T-bar lifts, one of which was replaced by a quad-chairlift in the early 1990s.  The remaining two T-bars were replaced by a single quad-chairlift in 2003.  A fourth T-bar was partially constructed in the early 1980s, to the west of the chalet, and became known as Hill 2000, but it was never completed.  It was eventually dismantled in 1997.  A tubing hill was added at the base of Hill 2000 in 1998.  Hill 2000 was renamed West Hill, and work on that hill progressed gradually from 1978 to 2012.  West Hill now claims the tallest point in London at 67 metres (220 ft.)  After the completion West Hill, Boler Mountain can boast three quad chairlifts, a magic carpet and a tube carpet which services 16 trails.

In 2013, Boler Mountain added the Treetop Adventure Park.
