– TIPS FROM DR. JANNA, CHIROPRACTOR
When the holidays arrive, I look forward to spending time with my friends and family. I also know that it can be a stressful time for many, that’s why I am offering these tips on how to de-stress during Christmas. The Christmas season can be a magical time of joy and togetherness, but it often brings stress along with it. From last-minute shopping to family gatherings, the pressure of the holidays can affect both our physical and mental health. That’s where chiropractic care comes in. Chiropractic adjustments help relieve tension in the body, promoting relaxation and balance.
In this video, Dr. Janna shares 6 effective ways to de-stress during Christmas, highlighting the importance of self-care, relaxation techniques, and chiropractic care to maintain wellness throughout the season.
1. Get checked and adjusted.
First and foremost, one of the best ways to de-stress during Christmas is to take care of your body and make sure that it is working at its best through regular chiropractic adjustments. Research has shown that chiropractic adjustments help reduce the stress hormone, cortisol, in your body, and also can boost your immune system.
2. Eat a breakfast that is packed with protein.
It can be tempting to eat all the sweets and treats that are around this holiday season which can wreak havoc on your blood sugar levels and energy levels. So try starting your day with a protein based breakfast which will help stabilize your blood sugar levels and keep your energy high throughout the day. This will also help with focus, concentration and productivity.
3. Drink.
And I’m not talking about all that eggnog! I’m talking about water. Keeping hydrated is important to help you stay alert throughout the day and keep your energy levels high.
4. Move.
Get up and get moving! Whether that’s running up your stairs, going to the gym or going outside or playing in the snow. Exercise has been shown to reduce the negative effects of stress and increase overall health and well-being. Try burst training for getting an effective amount of exercise in an efficient amount of time.
5. Pause.
The holiday season can be a very busy time, so make sure you set aside some time to block out that chaos, whether that’s reading a book, sipping on some tea, praying or getting out in nature.
6. Plan.
And finally, try to create a plan for tackling all the items on your to do list and prioritize. Â Â It’s okay if not everything gets finished. Make sure you enjoy this holiday season.
